Corrections and factual errors: [email protected]

Everything else: [email protected]

There are two email addresses on this site and no other way to reach it. No form, no account, no support portal, and no telephone number. That is deliberate: a form would need somewhere to keep what you type, and this site keeps nothing. Sending an ordinary email from your own client also means you keep a copy of exactly what you sent.

Which address to use

For a factual error in a class value, a density band, a date, or a source, use the corrections address. Corrections are the highest-priority mail this site receives, because one wrong band makes every page that uses it wrong at once, and that page describes what happens to a report.

For everything else — a privacy question, a question about how a figure was produced, or a note that something is unclear — write to the general address. If your question is about the arithmetic, the methodology page already shows every step, and pointing at the step that looks wrong usually produces a faster answer than describing the result.

What makes a message actionable

Include the page URL or the page name. If the issue is a class value or a band, the subprovision number identifies it faster than any description. If you expected a different value, say where your value comes from — a link to the primary source is the strongest form, a screenshot is workable, and a disagreement without a source is still worth sending.

If the issue is arithmetic, the four inputs are enough to reproduce it exactly: length, width, height, and weight, with the units you selected. Without the units a report cannot be reproduced, because the same numbers in centimetres and inches give different densities.

Frequently asked

Is there a contact form?

No. The site has no write operations and no database, so there is nothing for a form to submit to. A mailto link is the whole mechanism, and the contact page for corrections explains what to include.

Do you offer consulting or classification services?

No. Densio publishes a reference and a calculator and does not take on classification work. A binding decision has to come from your carrier or from a qualified classification specialist.

Will you publish my message?

No. Messages are read and acted on, and nothing identifying a sender is published. If a correction is worth describing, the correction is described rather than the person who reported it.
